All ads submitted are reviewed and checked for approval before being listed. If your AD's require a payment but you're not sure if they meet the rules and guidelines, you can contact us prior to making a payment and we will review it for you first.

Yes, if your listing is of a commercial nature you may include your company logo or a photo that includes text that describes your business, products or services as one of your photos. It must be your business and relevant to what you are advertising or selling in the category in which you're listed. You may not include company logos or advertising for multiple businesses or companies in the same ad or listing.

Note: All ads (commercial or personal) must be listed in the appropriate category. For example, if you're a realtor you can't list an ad under "Horses For Sale". However, if you're a horse farm, dealer or broker that offers horses for sale you may list a commercial ad under "Horses For Sale".

Your username and password are case-insensitive, please make sure you input them correctly. If the problem still persists, make sure you have cookies enabled (or allowed) for our site. Cookies are required as a means of keeping you active while you're logged in as a member. For more details on how to enable cookies, please check the "How to enable cookies" in the list of questions in this FAQ.

We only only support and test our site around the 2 most popular browsers, Microsoft's IE and Mozilla's Firefox which make up over 90% of the browsers being used today to surf the Internet. If you choose to use a different browser you'll have to read your browser's help on how to enable cookies etc., the process is similar on most browsers and the following instructions provided should still give you a general idea. For step by step graphical instructions choose your browser.
    

Most coupon vouchers have a value of $10 which offsets the cost for posting a standard 3 month photo ad. You can add extra options as long as the total amount of the extra options meets our minimal billing amount of $10.

On the page where you fill in the info to create and post an ad, there will also be extra options you may select. Near the bottom of the page there will be a field to enter your coupon code which will deduct the value of the coupon from your total.

Note: Multiple coupons can not be applied to an individual ad.

Where can I a get a coupon voucher?
Coupon vouchers are usually obtained by becoming a premium member of our Hitching-Post.net Social Club. More info can be found by visiting the site's "Prices" link (located at the footer of the main page).

Usually within 12 to 48 hours after submitting your ad and payment is received if you chose paid options.

All ads are manually reviewed and processed so it can take some time as we get our fair share of spammers and cads trying to submit their junk that we must also weed through. Ads that appear to be blatant spam or contain totally inappropriate or irrelevant content that have no place in our classifieds, will be rejected! In cases where it's a paid ad and/or there's minor oversights in permissible content we will attempt to contact the submitter to make the required changes before it will be allowed to enter the listings. In cases of choosing a wrong or inappropriate category, the admin may list your ad in the category which they deem as being the most appropriate.

If your ad was mistakenly or unfairly flagged as being spam or containing inappropriate content, we apologize and will consider reviewing your ad again. Also understand that our classifieds are primarily targeted towards the Equestrian and Farm and Ranch communities and even though you may have a legit business or product it may be deemed inappropriate content. We are only interested in quality content that would be beneficial and of interest to the members of the community.

By default all ads are sorted by date with the newest ads appearing first.

Visitors and users can change the way ads are viewed by using the sort feature which allows them to sort and view ads either ascending or descending by name, date, expiration or type.


This feature is available in category listings and search result pages.

If you are using an older version of IE, Firefox, Mac versions or other brands such as Opera etc., and experience problems using the site, please don't contact us asking for support as we can't test and provide support for every browser that exists.

This usually happens after you have processed your ad and then tried to go back and got a message that the page has expired and asked if you wanted to retry loading the page and you clicked the retry button, this action will actually run the process again. In any event, simply click the cancel link next to the duplicate ads and they will be deleted and the amount owing will be adjusted accordingly.

The Hitching-Post.net social club and the classifieds are totally separate entities (technically two different websites) and therefore you must register for each one individually. Your username and password for the social club won't automatically work for the classifieds. You can try registering for both using the same username and password and it will be accepted as long as they are still available and haven't already been taken by another user.
